A state in North West Nigeria has recently issued an initial offer letter for PriVida to establish a 20 MW solar farm. To demonstrate its commitment, the Government allocated 125 acres of land for the project and pledged its support for licences required to facilitate successful execution of the solar farm project.
PriVida has kicked off a feasibility study for the project during second week in February 2016 as well as an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study required to obtain full license from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Five (5) off-takers close to the project site have been identified and discussions are ongoing with the local distribution company to use an existing sub-station close to the project site.
