Our Strategy
The current global trend towards ensuring access to cleaner, cheaper and more environmentally friendly sources of energy is fully aligned with the vision of PriVida. Since it was set up in the UK in 2013, PriVida has identified key partners across the globe. Together with its partners, solutions are currently being designed and deployed into high-demand locations. For example, PriVida has partnered with leading renewable energy businesses in the design and deployment of retail solar solutions in West and Central Africa. Over the past few years, several products have been deployed into Nigeria and Cameroon.
PriVida aims to deliver 10,000 MW of power from renewable energy sources. In addition, the company aims to be a leader in Wind Energy, Biomass and Renewable Energy Capacity Development.

Doug Farmer, Chairman,
PriVida UK
Mr. Doug Farmer has extensive commercial, regulatory and managerial experience in the energy industry, primarily with Shell. He is a former Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Gas Limited and has served as Shell appointed director to several Joint Venture Boards including the West African Gas Pipeline and Gas TransBoliviano S. A. He has served on senior management teams in the UK, Bolivia and Nigeria and seen more project through to financial close than he cares to remember, including the Afam Power Project in Nigeria and the West African Gas pipeline linking Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana. Since retiring from Shell he has turned his talents to renewables and was instrumental in the refurbishment of a hydro scheme and the construction of a biomass power station in Tanzania. He has done business in every continent on the planet.
Doug Farmer graduated from Imperial College London with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 1974. Also, he holds an MBA from Henley Business School, United Kingdom.

He is a member of the Institute of Directors (United Kingdom) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) London. He is also a member of the Northeast East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) in England, a member of the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) as well as the Arab British Chamber of Commerce (A-BCC).

Director
Dr Franklin Jacob Abamu is an experienced International Development Manager and Project Director, with significant knowhow and success in donor development, new business identification and programme funding. Dr. Abamu has covered a wide range of sustainbaility projects development, funding, execution and impact management across the globe. He is a great team leader, an excellent coach and a trusted advisor who is able to engage at very senior levels in Government or non-governmental sectors through the spectrum of policy formulation to project delivery. Dr. Abamu is a First Class Graduate who holds a Ph.D from the University of Philipines, Los Banos. He is a bi-lingual and highly mobile expert who is always willing to support development in Africa and other continents across the globe.

Technical Partner
Technical Adviser and SMA Specialist with over 45 years’ experience in electrical and solar systems design and installations. Franc has worked as Technical Advisor for PV system design, installation and procurement of electrical system components, multimillion dollar electro-technical installations and data networks in houses, offices and shops in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. He is also an Advanced Technical Expert on solar inverters and large-scale solar projects, including the deployment of SMA systems
