PriVida Power Limited recently commenced the deployment of a solar-powered Mini-Grid projects across selected communities in Adamawa, Taraba, Benue, and Kogi States to expand access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity in underserved areas. The project is being developed under the programmes of Distributed Access through Renewable Energy Scale-Up (DARES) and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). The project supports Nigeria’s national renewable energy and rural electrification objectives.

The programme comprises 31 solar Mini-Grid installations with a combined installed capacity of approximately 13.0 MW. Each Mini-Grid is designed to match local demand while allowing for future load growth, supporting residential users, micro and small businesses, public institutions, and community facilities across the participating states.

The Mini-Grid programme is expected to positively impact the lives of approximately 341,940 people. Access to reliable electricity will support improved education and healthcare services, stimulate local economic activity, and enhance overall living standards within host communities.

By displacing diesel and petrol generators, the project will reduce energy costs, noise pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.

This planned Mini-Grid programme builds on PriVida Power Limited’s growing portfolio of distributed renewable energy projects and demonstrates our capacity to deliver scalable, community-focused energy infrastructure across multiple states.
