Off-Grid Solar Projects

PriVida Power Limited is advancing a large-scale solar Mini-Grid programme under the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) framework to expand access to reliable and affordable electricity across underserved communities in Nigeria. The programme is structured as a five-year rollout of 75 Mini-Grids annually, positioning PriVida as a long-term partner in Nigeria’s distributed energy transition. The first phase, planned in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), will span Nasarawa, Adamawa, Kogi, Edo, Delta, Taraba, Cross River, Kwara, Kano, Gombe, and Benue States, with financing in progress and site preparations underway ahead of construction.

Across the planned sites, the programme is expected to deliver approximately 24.7 MW of installed capacity, supplying reliable electricity and impacting roughly 636,306 lives. The Mini-Grids are designed to power both productive and social infrastructure, including hospitals and healthcare centres, schools and educational facilities, agricultural operations, telecommunications networks, MSMEs, and essential community services. By enabling stable, round-the-clock electricity access, the programme strengthens local economies, improves service delivery, and enhances overall quality of life across participating communities.By providing dependable, grid-independent power, the programme will improve healthcare delivery, learning environments, and local productivity while reducing reliance on diesel and petrol generators. This transition will lower energy costs, noise pollution, and carbon emissions, reinforcing PriVida Power Limited’s commitment to delivering scalable, community-focused renewable energy infrastructure with long-term socio-economic impact.
