Development, Construction and Commissioning of Twenty-Five (25) Solar Mini-Grids

Situated across multiple underserved communities in Benue, Kogi, Plateau and Nasarawa in Nigeria, this portfolio of 25 Hybrid Solar Mini-Grid projects developed by PriVida Power Limited demonstrates our commitment to expanding sustainable energy access at scale. The projects were designed to address critical energy gaps while catalyzing inclusive socio-economic development across rural and peri-urban communities.

The Mini-Grid portfolio now serves over 22,000 Households, providing reliable electricity that supports household lighting, education, healthcare delivery, and small business operations. Access to consistent power has enabled extended business hours, improved public service delivery, and enhanced productivity across participating communities.

Project implementation prioritized community engagement and local participation, resulting in the creation of over 100 direct jobs and more than 2,000 indirect jobs during construction and and current Ooperations and Maintenance (O&M). Capacity-building initiatives supported local technicians and operators, strengthening long-term system reliability and community ownership.

With a combined installed capacity of 2.5 MWp and an estimated annual energy generation of 2,082,437 kWh/year, the Mini-Grid portfolio significantly reduces dependence on diesel and petrol generators. This translates to estimated annual CO₂ emission reductions of 222.48 CO₂/year, contributing to improved air quality, reduced fuel costs, and better public health outcomes.

This Mini-Grid portfolio reflects PriVida Power Limited’s scalable and impact-driven approach to distributed energy development one that integrates sound engineering, regulatory alignment, community inclusion, and environmental sustainability to deliver durable energy infrastructure that supports people, productivity, and long-term prosperity.
