Stand-Alone Solar Programme: Solar for Business
PriVida Power Limited is planning Stand-Alone Solar (SAS) programme under the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) framework to provide reliable electricity to micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises in selected communities across Nigeria. The Solar for Business initiative targets enterprises affected by unreliable grid supply and high fuel costs.
The programme will serve over 1,000 MSMEs annually through the deployment of 2.5 kWp solar systems designed exclusively for productive commercial use. Across the rollout, the systems are expected to generate approximately 6,387,500 kWh of clean electricity each year, enabling businesses to operate longer hours, reduce downtime, and significantly cut energy costs by replacing diesel and petrol generators.
By powering MSMEs with clean, reliable energy, the programme will stimulate local economic activity, support job creation, and improve livelihoods while reducing noise, air pollution, and carbon emissions. Through this initiative, PriVida Power Limited continues to deliver scalable energy solutions that strengthen businesses and drive inclusive economic growth.
